Process Safety Management (PSM) Programs and Implementation
Process Safety Management programs have been implemented in some way at nearly every site in the USA. Intertek has implemented multiple corrosion monitoring software products at various facilities. Once Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs) have been verified to be correct and updated, a simple classification of API 570 systems can then be circuitized and systemized to fit your facility. The key to any PSM program is to collect accurate data, enter it correctly and maintain consistency; with these steps covered you will then be on track for maintaining a safe and reliable facility.
Turnaround and Shutdown Inspection Support
Turnarounds are scheduled and necessary events, but they are also challenging and expensive in terms of lost production time and costs associated with the required turnaround activities. Intertek's high standard of performance in turnaround work is a matter of record. Our experienced inspectors are committed to safety, and are well respected within the industry.
Project/Construction Management Support
The successful completion of a large-scale construction project requires input from highly qualified and experienced personnel; on-time execution of work so that deadlines are met; quality components; and safe working environments. Intertek’s expert inspection personnel are available for management and support of small and large projects from start to finish. We support our customers’ projects in new construction, on-going maintenance, addition construction and projects related to pre-existing units/facilities.
Safety Management
Working in high risk industries such as the energy industry, the possibilities of work-related injuries are always present. Intertek’s USA-based Asset Integrity Management (AIM) In-Service Inspection group surpassed three million work hours without a lost-time accident or injury in January 2013. Our clients seek partners who can demonstrate their commitment to safe working practices. Our professionals and the services they offer, such as onsite safety representation, help clients minimize risk as well as maintain safe and reliable facilities.
