Update to Certification Requirements for Qatar Food

Exporting Food Products to Qatar – Ministry of Public Health updates Certification requirements for some imported foodstuffs from specified countries of export
The Qatar – Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has issued revised import requirements for certain food products. One of the mandatory requirements is a Certificate of Conformity issued by a MoPH-approved certification Body for the following food products.
Effective from 1st November 2023:
- Leafy Vegetables exported from Jordan
- Fresh Fruits and Vegetables and Chilled Fish exported from Egypt
Effective from 15th November 2023
- Fresh/Chilled Seafood (Fish, Shrimp, Squid, Mussels, Oysters, etc.) exported from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Myanmar
- Buffalo Meat and All Types of Spices exported from India
Other food products under mandatory certification from February 2023:
- Mint, Parsley, Coriander, Watercress, Thyme, Molokhia, Grapes exported from Lebanon
- Frozen Seafood (Fish, Shrimp, Squid, Mussels, Oysters, etc.) exported from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Myanmar
Exporters are advised to obtain CoCs for such food product consignments to avoid any Customs clearance issues at the Qatar Ports/Borders on their arrival.
