As the COVID-19 pandemic has evolved, there has been a fundamental shift in perceptions toward hygiene, sanitation, and safety in senior care living. Intertek is working with care centers and nursing homes to have procedures in place to prevent the spread of illness in areas such as long and short term care rooms, assisted living apartments, dining rooms, restrooms, recreation areas, gyms, nurse stations, and administration offices, in addition to educating staff and ensuring they are equipped to enact these procedures as part of an immediate preventative risk management strategy.
