Intertek Welcomes Cedar Shake and Shingle Bureau (CSSB)

Intertek works with the CSSB, a non-profit trade association that provides membership services to quality cedar shake & shingle manufacturers. The CSSB promotes the use of Certi-label^TM cedar roofing and sidewall products and has earned the distinction as “the recognized authority since 1915”.

Intertek is the exclusive inspection agency for CSSB members. Our team of inspectors performs frequent, unannounced audits of all CSSB mills to ensure that quality standards are continually met. This ensures that products from CSSB member mills are of the highest quality and consistency. For the mills that choose and qualify, Intertek offers an even higher level of cedar shake & shingle quality assurance through our Gold Label® program, which offers the ultimate in top quality product grading standards.
