Property Resilience Assessments (PRAs)
With extreme weather events and other climate-related challenges becoming more frequent, these threats can damage buildings and infrastructure, disrupt operations, and even present safety hazards. Property resilience assessments can assist you in identifying potential weaknesses in your building before they develop into issues. Request a Property Resilience Assessment.
LEED® Certification for Sustainable Buildings
LEED Certification is the internationally recognized framework for designing, constructing, and operating high-performance buildings that minimize environmental impact, reduce costs, and promote occupant well-being. Whether you're a seasoned developer or embarking on your first green building project, LEED empowers you to contribute to a sustainable future. Discover more about LEED qualifications and the certification process.
WELL Certification for Healthier Spaces
Did you know the design and operation of buildings can significantly impact your health and well-being? The WELL Building Standard™ addresses this by setting a new standard for buildings that prioritize human health. Learn more about the WELL Building Standard and its certification process.
Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) for Building Environments
Indoor air quality (IAQ) has become a top concern for building owners and occupants. The pandemic highlighted the importance of healthy indoor environments, especially in schools, offices, and healthcare facilities. People want to know that their spaces are effective in controlling common indoor pollutants and supporting their overall well-being.
Drinking Water Testing in GSA Leased Facilities
The U.S. General Services Administration's (GSA) Public Building Service (PBS) requires the entity leasing a building or space to provide a qualified professional with expertise in water sampling and relevant industry standards to conduct a drinking water quality assessment for GSA’s federally leased space. The water testing must be performed in GSA leased spaces and all common areas to which the GSA tenants and its visitors have access and would reasonably expect to use. The testing parameters include Lead, Copper, and Bacteria (Total Coliform/E.Coli and Legionella). Intertek is well versed in providing these services and will be happy to assist you in meeting your needs.
Acoustics
Acoustic quality has a significant impact on the performance, stress level, and wellness of building occupants. Quality acoustic environments increase productivity and improve health. Interior and exterior noise and vibration sources undermine acoustic quality when they are not identified and managed. Intertek has a team of acoustic consultants and engineers that help clients enhance acoustic environments in new and existing buildings:
Pre-design acoustic assessment identifies the sources of airborne noise and ground-borne vibration that could negatively impact indoor environments in proposed buildings. In existing buildings, assessments identify the sources of noise pollution prior to implementing mitigations. Learn more about our Acoustical Consulting, Testing & Noise Assessments.
