Overview
Confused by REACH? Do you want to know how these complex regulations apply to Textile and Leather products: If so, then this course is for you!
REACH is an EU Regulation: Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH).
REACH places responsibility on all manufacturers and importers of chemicals to identify and manage the risks that those substances which they manufacture and market may pose to human health and to the environment.
The key part of REACH that affects this industry sector is that which relates to substances in articles, whether those substances are intended to be released, whether they are substances of very high concern (SVHC) or whether they are restricted. This seminar is suitable for technologist, buyers and managers, and will help you understand your own company’s obligation with regards to the REACH Regulations.
