ENERGY STAR® Certification for Appliances
Intertek is an EPA Recognized Testing Laboratory and Certification Body (CB) offering testing and certification for appliances wishing to use the ENERGY STAR® mark. With 18 Energy Efficiency testing laboratories around the world, we offer localized services and fast turnaround times.
Clothes Washers
Clothes washers that have earned the ENERGY STAR® are about 25% more efficient than non-certified models. Only front and top loader clothes washers with capacities greater than 1.6 ft3 are eligible to earn the ENERGY STAR®. Further qualifications can be found here (Source: energystar.gov).
Clothes Dryers
ENERGY STAR® certified dryers use about 20% less energy than conventional models without sacrificing features or performance. Only gas, or electric, and compact clothes dryers meeting the ENERGY STAR® definitions for electric or gas clothes dryers are eligible to earn ENERGY STAR® certification. Dishwashers
ENERGY STAR® certified dishwashers are about 12% more efficient that non-certified models. Further qualifications can be found here (Source: energystar.gov).

Dehumidifiers
Dehumidifiers that have earned the ENERGY STAR® are nearly 30% more efficient that non-certified models. Further qualifications can be found here (Source: energystar.gov).
Air Purifiers (Cleaners)
ENERGY STAR® certified room air purifiers are almost 27% more energy-efficient than standard models. Further qualifications can be found here (Source: energystar.gov).

Ceiling Fan Products
ENERGY STAR® certified ceiling fan/light combination units are 60% more efficient than conventional fan/light units. Further qualifications can be found here (Source: energystar.gov). Program requirements for Residential Ceiling Fan and Light Kits Version 4.0 can be found here
Refrigerators
ENERGY STAR® certified refrigerators are about 9% more energy-efficient than models that meet the federal minimum standard for energy efficiency. Further qualifications can be found here (Source: energystar.gov).
Freezers
ENERGY STAR® certified freezers are at least 10% more efficient than non-certified models. Further qualifications can be found here (Source: energystar.gov).
