Exporting/Importing to Saudi Arabia – Enforcement of newly published Technical Regulation from 21st Nov 2021

Further to our previous announcements regarding the Saudi Product Safety Programme (SPSP) for Saudi Arabia, we would like to inform you that the Technical Regulation (TR) for Machine Safety Part 2- Moving Machinery and Heavy-Duty Equipment (TR No. MA-180-21-08-01) which was published in the Saudi Gazette on 21st May 2021 will be strictly enforced starting from 21st November 2021 onwards (i.e. 6 months after the publication date).

P-CoCs and S-CoCs issued in SABER for products covered under the scope of the newly published technical regulation will continue to remain valid until the enforcement date. However, Exporters are encouraged to take preparatory measures in advance to submit qualifying documents that comply with the requirements of this new TR.
