Ease your way into Hazardous Location certification with Division 2 and Zone 2 method of protection
The protection methods that are applicable for Division 2 and Zone 2 environments provides access for electrical products to be installed in the hazardous areas where the hazard is not present under normal operating procedure as defined by divisions and zones. A Division 2 / Zone 2 product can be certified according to the following protection methods:
- Encapsulated
- Enclosed break
- Energy limiting apparatus
- Hermetically sealed
- Non sparking/arcing parts
- Restricted breathing
- Sealed or encapsulated device
- Simplified pressurization
