Intertek’s Boxborough laboratory is one of the largest among our entire network of 1,000 labs. We specialize in Electrical product safety testing across a wide range of industries, but we also offer EMC, performance, and additional services that may help you meet your product development goals.
Product Safety Testing
Intertek’s Boxborough facility is recognized as a CB Scheme Test Laboratory, testing to over 75 standards in the CBTL scope:
- IT Equipment (IEC 60950 and 62368)
- Medical Devices (IEC 60601 series)
- Laboratory Equipment (IEC 61010 series)
- Consumer Electronics (IEC 60065 and 62368)

Electromagnetic Immunity Testing
Our EMC/EMI capabilities include:
- Testing to IEC, EU, FDA, ANSI Australia/New Zealand (ACA), GOST-R (Russia), Korea and NEBS.
- Fully automated radiated RF immunity testing to 18 GHz in compact absorber-liner chamber
- Electrical Fast Transient (EFT), Electrical Surge, Power Quality Failure (PQF), Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), Magnetic Field Disturbance, Conducted RF Disturbance, and Shielding Effectiveness
- 50 Hz power at 230 V single-phase and 400 V three-phase
- 60 Hz power at 120V & 240V single-phase, and 208V 240V, and 480V three-phase
10 Meter Semi-Anechoic Chamber
Our facility is equipped with a full, automated chamber testing at 3 and 10 meters in an RF ambient-free environment.
- Testing to FCC, CISPR, Australia / New Zealand (ACA), Taiwan (BSMI), Russia (GOST-R / EAC), Industry Canada, and NEBS standards
- Accredited by A2LA and registered with the FCC, Industry Canada, and VCCI
