Intertek operates a state-of-the-art ISO 17025 accredited and United States Consumer Product Safety Commission approved helmet, headgear, and head protection laboratory that tests helmets and other protective headgear products for a variety industries, occupations, and activities. Our specialized equipment evaluates the performance of the following products:

Intertek’s specializes in the evaluating of the performance of protective helmets for a variety of tests, including top impact resistance, penetration and puncture resistance, heat and thermal shrinkage resistance, field of view, resistance to electric current, retention, label durability and legibility, and many other mechanical and/or environmental tests.

Intertek also provides third-party ISO 17025 test reports for both the verification and qualification of your products. Together with the Safety Equipment Institute (SEI) – an ANSI Accredited organization – we offer an accredited third-party testing and/or certification solution to ensure your Protective Helmet not only complies with industry recognized performance standards but is subject to Quality Assurance audits conducted by SEI. This makes your products eligible to bear the SEI Mark, recognized throughout the PPE industry for more than 35 years.
