Whatever market you’re looking to enter, get your product where it needs to be with help from Intertek. As a London-based company and a member of the FTSE 100, Intertek is a leader in the European lighting market. Our local accreditations, expertise and lighting safety certification marks recognized across the EU help you meet all relevant electrical safety testing requirements.
CE Mark - Before your lighting product can be placed on the European market, it must meet the requirements of the relevant product safety directives, which are joint rules put in place to simplify trade to and between the member countries of the European Union.
S Mark - Accepted throughout Europe, the S Mark is Sweden’s national certification mark which provides evidence that Intertek has independently tested and certified your product’s compliance to applicable European safety requirements.
GS Mark - The GS Mark is a licensed mark of the German government and recognized throughout Europe as a symbol of safety. The GS Mark minimizes manufacturers' risk of product liability and provides manufacturers with the confidence that their products are safe, legal and of high quality.
ENEC Marking - The European Norms Electrical Certification marking is accepted in 22 European countries and denotes compliance to applicable electrical safety and performance standards for luminaires and components. Use this mark to demonstrate that your quality management system is in compliance with EN 29002 (ISO 9002).
ETLEU Marking - The first pan-European Union mark of its kind, the ETLEU Mark verifies your product’s compliance with applicable EU standards and directives and speaks directly to consumers, authorities and retailers.
UKCA (Conformity Assessed) Marking - The UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) mark is the United Kingdom (UK) product conformity marking that will be mandatory for a majority of lighting goods being placed on the market in Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland) beginning 01 January 2025. The UKCA mark will be the replacement marking for goods which previously required the CE mark.
