Intertek secures outsourcing agreement with ICI

Intertek Group plc (‘Intertek’) has acquired from Imperial Chemical Industries PLC (‘ICI’), its prestigious Measurement Science Group (‘MSG’) based in Teesside, UK. ICI has awarded a four year outsourcing contract to Intertek as part of the agreement. MSG enhances Intertek’s advanced Analytical Services with internationally acclaimed scientific leaders in their disciplines and a comprehensive range of leading edge instrumentation. All 42 current MSG staff will transfer to Intertek from ICI.

MSG expands Intertek services by introducing new expertise and advanced measurement capabilities for polymers and plastics, composite materials, surface coatings, and adhesives. MSG is established as one of the most highly respected measurement science facilities in the UK.
