Intertek has acquired Carnot Emission Services (Carnot), in San Antonio, Texas USA. Carnot is one of the largest independent emissions testing organizations in the world. The business provides engine dynamometer based transient and steady state emissions certification, audit, and compliance testing services to a broad range of customers worldwide. Carnot serves the non-road engine industry that includes small off-road engine, large spark-ignited (LSI) engine, marine, recreational vehicle, agricultural, and other off-highway engine applications.
