Intertek supports Mondo Minerals with polyolefin knowledge and rapid completion of their material characterisation program

Geleen, Netherlands – Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions serving a wide range of industries around the world, has successfully completed a material characterization program by delivering polymer material and processing knowledge in a time effective way for Mondo Minerals, Netherlands.

Mondo Minerals (“Mondo”) is the second largest producer of talc globally, with a strong presence in Europe. The Company is a leading supplier of talc for paper, paints & coatings, and plastics applications and has a growing presence in a range of niche end-markets including technical ceramics, food, and personal care. Mondo, which is headquartered in Amsterdam, has a secure and well-placed talc ore reserve base in Finland with an estimated resource life of well over 70 years. The company has state of the art processing facilities in both Finland and The Netherlands.

Intertek, as an independent supplier of knowledge in the field of polyolefins and related laboratory and technical services, assisted Mondo Minerals with further research on their products. The project included compounding and injection molding trials and material characterization programs.
