Intertek Forms a Strategic Partnership with Korea Testing Laboratory

The expansion of Intertek’s global footprint into South Korea delivers enhanced local services for mobile device manufacturers.
Arlington Heights, IL – Intertek, the leading quality solutions provider to industries worldwide, today announced newly expanded services in Asia Pacific through its partnership with respected testing and certification body, Korea Testing Laboratory (KTL). Now able to support a large percentage of product testing for handset manufacturers like LG and Samsung, Intertek is helping local clients in South Korea bring new devices to market faster than ever.
KTL joined Intertek’s expansive global network in April 2013 as part of the company’s Remote Testing Laboratory (RTL) program. KTL has a long history of PTCRB and GCF involvement in 2G, 3G, 4G network hardware and antenna testing, and introduces additional capabilities to the scope of Intertek’s PTCRB accreditation. Mr. Jungmin Kim, Director of KTL Telecommunication Center, says, “Together with Intertek, we are helping companies to obtain PTCRB certification locally, creating a faster, more efficient pathway for clients to export their products into markets worldwide.”
