Intertek wins best technical service award for biopharmaceutical services facility

Intertek success at the Best of the Northern Biomedical Sector Awards

Manchester, United Kingdom – Intertek, a leading quality solutions provider to industries worldwide, has won the Technical Service Award category at the Best of the Northern Biomedical Sector Annual Awards.

Intertek was recognised for commitment, professionalism, innovation and success of technical service support to the biopharmaceutical and biomedical sectors, at the prestigious Bionow Awards, which showcase the best of businesses, products, technologies and individuals in the life sciences sector located in the north of Britain.

This Award follows the launch in September of Intertek’s 10,000 ft² bioanalytical and biopharmaceutical characterisation facility to deliver world-class scientific services to the growing pipeline of biologics medicines, such as monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) and recombinant proteins, which are being developed to treat heart disease, cancer-related diseases such as leukemia or melanoma and other chronic ailments. The new facility created a combined 30,000 ft2 of analytical and bioanalytical laboratories at Intertek’s Manchester-based Centre of Excellence for Biologics.
