NCSC CHECK
Intertek NTA is a certified CHECK Service Provider and a founder member of the scheme, maintaining the highest "green level" status.
IT health checks identify vulnerabilities in IT systems and networks which may compromise the confidentiality, integrity or availability of information held on that IT system. NCSC traditionally provided IT health check services for HMG and the wider public sector of systems handling protectively marked information. Demand for these services has grown and therefore, in line with similar NCSC initiatives, a special partnership with industry is the most appropriate way of meeting this demand.
Companies belonging to CHECK are measured against high standards set by NCSC. Therefore, HMG and CNI customers can be assured that they will receive a high quality service if the work is carried out under the Terms & Conditions of CHECK.

PCI Approved Scanning Vendor
Intertek NTA has been an accredited ASV since 2006 and our ASV Certification Number is 4183-01-16
The PCI Security Standards Council maintains a structured process for security solution providers to become Approved Scanning Vendors (ASVs), as well as to be re-approved each year.
The major requirement of the process is a rigorous remote test conducted by each vendor on the PCI Security Standards Council’s test infrastructure, which simulates the network of a typical security scan customer. The Council has set up the test infrastructure in such a way as to deliberately introduce vulnerabilities and misconfigurations for the vendor to identify and report as part of the compliance testing process.
The testing primarily addresses these areas:
- Scan administration – how the vendor collects and manages scan requests from its customers;
- Scan performance – the ability of each vendor to identify vulnerabilities and misconfigurations in the network and Web application; and
- Scan report – how the vendor presents the scan results to its customers.
When a vendor has successfully passed the testing process, it becomes an ASV and is listed on the PCI Security Standards Council Web site. To ensure ongoing compliance with program requirements, all ASVs are subject to an annual recertification process.

Cyber Essentials
Intertek NTA is an approved Certifying Body under the Cyber Essentials scheme, allowing us to provide certification services to organisations wishing to achieve the Cyber Essentials standard. A primary objective of the UK Government’s National Cyber Security Strategy is to make the UK a safer place to conduct business online. To support this objective the Cyber Essentials scheme has been developed to assist organisations with defending against the most common form of basic cyber attacks originating from the Internet.
