Cyber Essentials

Intertek NTA is an approved Certifying Body under the Cyber Essentials scheme, allowing us to provide certification services to organisations wishing to achieve the Cyber Essentials standard. Cyber Essentials is an effective, Government backed scheme that will help you to protect your organisation, whatever its size, against a whole range of the most common cyber attacks.

Cyber attacks come in many shapes and sizes, but the vast majority are very basic in nature, carried out by relatively unskilled individuals. They’re the digital equivalent of a thief trying your front door to see if it’s unlocked. Our advice is designed to prevent these attacks. There are two levels of certification, Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus.

Cyber Essentials
Requires you to complete a self-assessment questionnaire with responses independently reviewed.

Cyber Essentials Plus
As above plus a vulnerability scan of your internet-facing systems, and testing of your internal workstations systems, carried out by Intertek NTA (or other external certifying body), using a range of approved tools and techniques.
