Net Calorific Value and Emission Factor Testing for Fuels
Net calorific value, carbon content, and emission factor fuel testing to EC Directive 2003/87/EC.
Intertek's laboratory in Antwerp, Belgium provides net calorific value and emission factor testing for fuels, including biomass fuels.
Standard test methods for solid fuels, liquid fuels and biomass fuels:
- DIN 51900-1 or ASTM D-240, determination of gross calorific value by bomb calorimeter
- DIN 51721 or ASTM D-5291, determination of carbon and hydrogen
Standard test methods for gaseous fuels:
- DIN 51612, testing of liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) and calculation of net calorific value
- DIN 51857, testing of gaseous fuel - calculation of calorific value, density , relative density and wobbe index
Intertek Belgium is an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory specialized in the determination of net calorific value, carbon content and emission factor in fuels.
