Total Quality Assurance for reconditioned products to adhere to National Electric Code requirements
Changes issued under NFPA 70 – 2020, the U.S. National Electric Code, require that when a certified product is reconditioned or refurbished, the original certification mark must be removed, the product must be released with new model and serial numbers, and this product must be reassessed and recertified with a label reflecting its reconditioned nature.
Intertek’s ETL refurbishment program provides manufacturers, vendors, or original applicants with a solution for evaluating products that previously received ETL certification, listing, or recognition. With extensive experience and knowledge in evaluating and certifying electrical products, we can help get refurbished products to market quickly and efficiently.
