On 8 April 2015, Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) approved to amend Article 2 of the “Act on Control of Household Products Containing Harmful Substances (Act No. 112 of 1973)” that designates the list of 24 aromatic amines as harmful substances in household products. Amendments to the Act will come into force on 1 April 2016. The specified 24 aromatic amines will be under regulated after the effective date.
