The updated list of standards harmonised under the General Product Safety Directive (2001/95/EC) has been published in the EU’s Official Journal. The harmonised standards can give presumption of conformity with the essential or other requirements of the General Product Safety Directive.

Standards added for:

  • Safety barriers – EN 1930:2011
  • Bicycles for young children – EN ISO 8098:2014
  • Changing units for domestic use – EN 12221-1:2008+A1:2013 and EN 12221-2:2008+A1:2013

Standards updated for:

  • Carry cots and stands – EN 1466:2014
  • Bicycles – EN ISO 4210-1:2014, EN ISO 4210-2:2014, EN ISO 4210-3:2014, EN ISO 4210-4:2014, EN ISO 4210-5:2014, EN ISO 4210-6:2014, EN ISO 4210-7:2014, EN ISO 4210-8:2014 and EN ISO 4210-9:2014
  • Trampolines – EN 13219:2008
  • Cords and drawstrings on children's clothing – EN 14682:2014

Standards removed for:

  • Soother holder – EN 12586:1999 and EN 12586:1999/AC:2002
  • Soothers for babies and young children – EN 1400-1:2002, EN 1400-2:2002 and EN 1400-3:2002
  • Buoyant aids for swimming instruction – EN 13138-2:2002
  • Barbecues burning solid fuels – EN 1860-1:2003
