Undergarments

The Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for undergarments. The spot check inspected 40 batches of samples; 3 batches were found unqualified.

This spot check was conducted according to GB 18401-2010 “National general safety technical code for textile products,” GB/T 29862-2013 “Textiles - Identification of fiber content” and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were fiber content, formaldehyde, pH value, Azo, colorfastness to dry rubbing, colorfastness to perspiration and colorfastness to water.

Primary failed items: fiber content.

The Shanxi Province Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for garments, leather bags and athletic shoes.

Bedding

The Market and Quality supervision Commission of Shenzhen Municipality launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for bedding. The spot check inspected 60 batches of samples; 6 batches were found unqualified.

This spot check was conducted according to GB 18401 “National general safety technical code for textile products,” GB 5296.4 “Instructions for use of products of consumer interest - Part 4: Textiles and apparel,” GB 18383-2007 “General technical requirements for products with filling materials” and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were formaldehyde, pH value, banned Azo dyestuff, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration and colorfastness to dry rubbing.

Primary failed items: pH value and banned Azo dyestuff.

Athletic Footwear

The Zhengzhou Administration for Industry & Commerce launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for athletic footwear. The spot check inspected 30 batches of samples; no batch was found unqualified.

The key items inspected on athletic shoes were peeling strength of upper and sole, peeling strength of upper and foxing, bond strength for insole and outsole, flexing resistance, abrasion resistance, colorfastness to rubbing of lining, formaldehyde and banned Azo dyestuff. The key items inspected on casual shoes were tensile strength, elongation at break, abrasion resistance, outsole hardness, outsole thickness, bond strength of foxing and upper and banned Azo dyestuff. The key items inspected on casual shoes were peeling strength, flexing resistance, abrasion resistance, colorfastness to rubbing of lining, upper pull out strength, formaldehyde and banned Azo dyestuff.

The Jiangsu Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for products with filling materials (quilts/pillows) and children’s and infant wear.
