Children’s & Infant Wear

On the published spot check report of October, the Beijing, Liaoning, Zhejiang and Shandong Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for children’s and infant wear.

This spot check was conducted according to GB 18401-2010 “National general safety technical code for textile products.” The key items inspected on these samples were formaldehyde, pH value, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to water and colorfastness to dry cleaning.

During the inspection, 12 batches of samples were tested in the Beijing province, with 1 batch failing to pass. A total of 78 batches were tested in the Zhejiang province, 7 batches failed. In the Shandong province, 40 batches of samples were tested, with 2 batches found to be unqualified.

Primary reasons for failure: pH value and fiber content

 

Bedding Articles

In October, the Beijing, Liaoning, Shanghai, Gansu and Qinghai Province Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for bedding articles.

This spot check was conducted according to GB 18383-2007 "General technical requirements for products with filling materials" and GB18401 “National general safety technical code for textile products.” The key items inspected on these samples were formaldehyde, pH value, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to dry rubbing, colorfastness to saliva, fiber content and filling materials.

During the inspection, 12 batches of samples were tested in Beijing, 14 batches in Shanghai and 10 batches in Gansu province; all of the tested batches were qualified. Of the 30 batches tested in the Liaoning province, 2 batches were unqualified. In the Shandong province, 30 batches were tested, as well as in the Qinghai province, where 2 batches were found unqualified.

Student Wear

In October, the Liaoning, Qinghai and Shanghai Province Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for student wear.

This spot check was conducted according to GB 18401-2010 “National general safety technical code for textile products," GB/T 23328-2009 "Woven Garments for Students" and QB/T 22854-2009 "Knitted School Uniform." The key items inspected on these samples were formaldehyde, pH value, banned Azo dyestuff, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to rubbing, label, fiber content, seam strength at back rise and stability to washing.

During the inspection, 8 batches failed of the total 45 batches tested in Liaoning and 2 batches failed of the total 30 batches in Qinghai. The results are pending for the 3 batches tested in Shanghai.

Casual Wear

In October, the Liaoning and Jiangxi Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for casual wear.

This spot check was conducted according to GB 18401-2010 "National general safety technical code for textile products." The key items inspected on these samples were formaldehyde, pH value, banned Azo dyestuff, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to dry rubbing, label and fiber content.

The spot check inspected 35 batches in the Liaoning province, where 10 batches failed. Of the 25 batches in the Jiangxi Province, 5 batches failed.

Footwear

In October of 2016, the Liaoning and Shanghai Province Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for the footwear.

The spot check of Liaoning Province was conducted according to QB/T 1002-2015 "Leather shoes," QB/T 2955-2008 2015 "Casual Shoes" and GB/T 22756-2008 2015 "Leather Sandals." The key items inspected on these samples were appearance, sole loading, upper pull out, whole shoe flexing, sole abrasion, heel attachment, sole bond (outsole and midsole), heel hardness, colorfastness to rubbing of lining and insock and harmful substances.

This spot check of Shanghai Municipality was conducted according to GB/T 15107-2013 “Athletic footwear." The key items inspected on these samples were appearance, sole loading, upper pull out, whole shoe flexing, sole abrasion, sole bond (outsole and midsole), colorfastness to rubbing of lining and insock, formaldehyde content and banned Azo dyestuff.

The spot check inspected 50 batches in the Liaoning Province, 1 batch failed. 80 batches were tested in the Shanghai province, 4 of these batches failed .
