Bedding Articles
In April, the Xiamen Marketing supervision Administration launched a special product quality supervision for bedding articles.
As a result of the inspection of 30 batches during the spot check, 11 batches failed.
Primary failed test item: fiber content
Children’s Wear
In April, the Xiamen Marketing supervision Administration and Nanjing and Shanghai AQSIQ launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for children’s wear.
Primary failed test items: fiber content, colorfastness to rubbing and attachment strength
Woolen Wear
In April, the Shanghai AIC and Henan AIC launched special product quality supervision and inspection for woolen casual wear.
The spot check was conducted according to GB 5296.4-2012 "Instruction for use of products of consumer interest," GB 18401 "National general safety technical code for textile products," GB/T 29862-2103 "Identification of fiber content" and GB/T 2664 "Men’s suits and coats."
The Shanghai AIC inspected a total of 31 batches, 3 batches failed. The Henan AIC inspected a total of 5 batches, 1 batch failed.

Sportswear
In April, the Shanghai Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for sportswear.
The spot check was conducted according to GB 5296.4-2012 "Instruction for use of products of consumer interest," GB 18401 "National general safety technical code for textile products," GB/T 29862-2103 "Identification of fiber content," GB/T 22849-2014 "Knitted T-shirt," GB/T 22853-2009 "Knitted sportswear," GB/T 22854-2009 "Knitted school uniform," GB/T 23328-2009 "Woven garments for students," FZ/T 73020-2012 "Knitted casual wear" FZ/T 81003-2003 "Knitted casual wear, children’s clothing and students’ wear" and FZ/T 81007-2012 "Casual wear."
The spot check inspected a total of 40 batches, 1 batch failed.
Primary failed test item: fiber content
Women’s Undergarments
In April, the General Administration of Quality supervision launched an inspection for women’s undergarments.
The key items inspected on these samples were formaldehyde, pH value, banned Azo dyestuff, colorfastness and warmth retention.
The knitted undergarments spot check inspected a total of 120 batches, 8 batches failed; of 81 batches of women’s wear, 2 batches failed.
Primary failed test items: fiber content, pH value and warmth retention
Footwear
In April, the General Administration of Quality supervision, Liaoning AIC, Chengdu AIC and Xiamen AQSIQ launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for athletic and leather footwear and children’s wear.
The key items inspected on these samples were sole loading, sole abrasion, whole shoe flexing, upper and bands adhesion strength, Azo tests and free formaldehyde content.
The footwear spot check of by the General Administration of Quality supervision inspected 49 batches, and 10 batches failed. The Liaoning AIC inspected 30 batches of children’s wear and the Xiamen AQSIQ inspected 25 batches children’s wear, a total of 3 batches failed. In the Chengdu AIC inspection, 2 batches failed.
