Bedding Articles

In February, the Shanghai QTS, Zhejiang QTS, Shandong AIC, He’nan AIC and Gansu QTS announced the results of the special product quality supervision for bedding articles.

This spot check was conducted according to GB 18401-2010 “National general safety technical code for textile products,” GB/T 29862-2013 “Textiles – Identification of fiber content,” GB/T 22796-2009 “Quilts and quilt cover,” GB/T 22797-2009 “Sheet,” GB/T 22800-2009 “Textiles for star-tourist hotels,” GB/T 22843-2009 “Cushion and pillow,” GB/T 22844-2009 “Matched bedding,” GB/T 24252-2009 ”Silk quilts,” FZ/T 81005-2006 “Quilting goods,” GB 18383-2007 “General technical requirements for products with filling materials” and QB/T 1193-2012 “Feather and Down quilt”.

The Shanghai QTS inspected 41 batches of feather and down quilts and found 3 batches failed, resulting in a failure rate of 7.32%.

The Zhejiang QTS inspected 4 batches of silk quilts and 1 of them failed, resulting in a failure rate of 25%, while 27 batches of 48 silk quilts failed, resulting in a failure rate of 56.25%.

The Shandong AIC inspected 10 batched of bedding articles, and 2 failed, resulting in a failure rate of 20%. The He’nan QTS inspected both online and offline 82 batches, and 37 failed, resulting in a failure rate of 45.12%. Gansu QTS inspected 45 batches, and 24 failed, resulting in a failure rate of 53.33%.

Primary failed items: colorfastness to rubbing, tensile strength, fiber content, use instruction, dimensional stability to washing, pH value and down content

Children’s Wear/School Uniforms

In February, the Gansu QTS and Sichuan QTS announced the results of the special product quality supervision for children’s wear and school uniforms.

This spot check was conducted according to GB 18401-2010 “National general safety technical code for textile products,” GB 31701-2015 “Safety Technical Code for Infant and Children’s Textile Products,” GB/T 29862-2013 “Textiles-Identification of fiber content,” GB/T 22849-2014 “Knitted T-shirt,” GB/T 8878-2014 “Cotton knitted underwear,” FZ/T 73009-2009 “Cashmere knitted goods,” FZ/T 73018-2012 “Wool knitted goods,” FZ/T 73020-2012 “Knitted casual wear,” FZ/T 73025-2013 “Knitted garment and adornment for infants,” FZ/T 73026-2014 “Knitted skirt and ladies suit,” FZ/T 73029-2009 “Knitted trousers,” FZ/T 73032-2009 “Knitted jeanswear,” FZ/T 73045-2013 “Knitted children's wear,” FZ/T 81004-2012 “Dress and ladies suit,” FZ/T 81006-2007 “Jeanswear,” FZ/T 81007-2012 “Casual wear,” FZ/T 81014-2008 “Infant wear” and GB/T 31888-2015 “School uniforms of primary and secondary students”.

The Gansu QTS inspected 60 batches of products and found 10 batches failed, resulting in a failure rate of 16.67%, While 12 batches of 80 school uniforms failed, resulting in a failure rate of 15%.

The Sichuan QTS inspected 80 batches of school uniforms and found 9 batches failed, resulting in a failure rate of 11.25%.

Primary failed items: tensile strength, pH value, colorfastness to rubbing, colorfastness to light, presence of odor, use instruction and fiber content

Textiles and Apparel

In February, the Shanghai QTS, Shanghai AIC, Beijing AIC, Zhejiang QTS, Jiangsu AIC, Shandong AIC and Hubei AIC announced the results of a special product quality supervision and inspection for textiles and apparel.

The spot checks were conducted according to GB 18401 “National general safety technical code for textile products,” GB/T 5296.4-2012 “Instructions for use of products of consumer interest – Part 4: Textiles and apparel,” GB/T 29862-2013 “Textiles – Identification of fiber content,” FZ/T 73026-2006 ”Knitted skirt and ladies suit,” FZ/T 81004-2012 “Dress and ladies suit,” FZ/T 81007-2012 “Casual wear,” GB/T 2660-2008 “Shirts and blouses,” GB/T 14272-2011 “Down garments,” FZ/T 73009-2009 “Cashmere knitted goods,” FZ/T 73018-2012 “Wool knitted goods,” FZ/T 73005-2012 “Low wool content and wool like knitted goods,” FZ/T 73034-2009 “Semi-worsted wool knitted goods,” GB/T 8878-2014 “Cotton knitted underwear,” FZ/T 73012-2008 “Brassiere,” FZ/T 73017-2014 “Knitted home textiles,” FZ/T 73024-2014 “Knitted underwear with chemical fibres,” FZ/T 73022-2012 “Knitted thermal underwear,” FZ/T 73029-2009 ”Knitted trousers,” FZ/T 81001-2007 “Pajamas,” GB/T 22700-2008 “Washed garments,” GB/T 22849-2014 “Knitted T-shirt,” GB/T 22853-2009 ”Knitted sportswear,” GB/T 29868-2013 “General technical criterion for knitted sports protection article,” GB/T 26385-2011 “Knitted patchwork clothing,” GB/T 32614-2016 “Outdoor sportswear – Water resistant garment,” FZ/T 73020-2012 ”Knitted casual wear,” FZ/T 81008-2011 “Jackets,” GB/T 14272-2011 “Down garments” and FZ/T 73053-2015 “Knitted down garments.”

The Shanghai QTS checked 60 batches of knitted underwear and 4 of them failed, resulting in a failure rate of 6.67%, while 4 batches of 52 down garments failed, resulting in a failure of 7.69%, also 6 batches of 50 wool/cashmere knitted garments failed, resulting in a failure rate of 12%.

The Shanghai AIC checked 120 batches of functional garments, and 32 of them failed, resulting in a failure rate of 26.67%, while 23 batches of 130 luxury wear, resulting in a failure rate of 17.69%.

The Beijing AIC found 73 batches of garments failed.

The Zhejiang QTS checked 27 batches of suits, and 4 of them failed, resulting in a failure rate of 14.81%, while 1 batch of 17 filling clothing failed, resulting in a failure rate of 5.88%. Also 4 batch of 29 knitted thermal underwear failed, resulting in a failure rate of 13.79%. In addition, 3 batch of 20 sportswear failed, resulting in a failure rate of 15%.

The Jiangsu AIC checked 50 batches of down garments, and 20 of them failed, resulting in a failure rate of 40%, while 25 batches of 50 wool/cashmere wear failed, resulting in a failure rate of 50%.

The Shandong AIC checked 78 batches of garments, and 16 of them failed, resulting in a failure rate of 20.51%. The Hubei AIC checked 103 batches of garments, and 21 of them failed, resulting in a failure rate of 20.39%.

Primary failed items: fiber content, colorfastness to water, use instruction, colorfastness to rubbing, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to washing, pilling resistance, down content, warmth retention, dimensional stability to washing, determination of dichloromethane-soluble matter, vapor transmission, drip diffusion time, water absorption rate, wicking height, ultraviolet protection factor(UPF), hydrostatic pressure, joint, quantity of electric charge, slippage, bonding strength of adhesive interlining and fill power 

Footwear

In February, the Sichuan QTS announced the results of special product quality supervision and inspection of footwear products.

This spot check was conducted according to GB 20400-2006 “Leather and fur-Limit of harmful matter” and QB/T 1002-2015 “Leather shoes.”

The Sichuan QTS checked 35 batches of footwears and found no failure.

Bags

In February, the Shanghai QTS, Jiangsu QTS and He’nan AIC announced the results of special product quality supervision and inspection for bags.

This spot check was conducted according to QB/T 2155-2010 “Travelling case and trolley bag,” GB 20400-2006 “Leather and fur Limit of harmful matter,” QB/T 1333-2010 “Handbag and knapsack,” QB/T 2858-2007 “Schoolbag” and GB 21027-2007 “Request in common use of security for student’s articles.”

The Shanghai QTS checked 30 batches of schoolbags and found that 11 batches failed, resulting in a failure rate of 36.67%, while 12 batches of 30 bags failed, resulting in a failure rate of 40%.

The Jiangsu QTS checked 70 batches of bags, 22 of them failed, resulting in a failure rate of 31.43%. The He’nan AIC checked 103 batches of bags and 51 of them failed, resulting in a failure rate of 49.51%.

Primary failed items: drop impact property, label, seam strength, colorfastness to rubbing, travelling performance and pull rod resistance to fatigue
