China Market Update: Updated Textile, Footwear Products & Hardgoods Standard List 2023

In the second half of 2023, the standardization administration of the People’s Republic of China released announcements No.7, No.9, No.12, No.13, No.20, and No.21 and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China released announcement No.17 and No.38 to publish standards updates.

There are updated textile, footwear products standards and method standards, including GB/T 32614—2023 “Outdoor sportswear—Water-resistant garments”, FZ/T 73017—2023 “Knitted homewear”, FZ/T 80007.3—2023 “Dry wash resistance test method for garments used adhesive interlining”, QB/T 2673—2023 “The labeling for footwear product”, QB/T 2882—2023 “Footwear—Test methods for uppers, linings and insocks—Colour fastness to rubbing and bleeding”, etc., as well as new standards for hardgoods such as GB 43631—2023 “General safety technical specification for infants and children paper products”, GB/T 43585—2023 “Disposable tampons”, GB/T 43276—2023 “Determination of formamide emission from toy materials”, etc.
