On March 20, 2018, the Korean Ministry of the Environment (MoE) issued an amendment to K-REACH, which was implemented on January 1, 2019. The main amendments abolished the annual reporting obligations set out in the previous Act and instead proposed a pre-registration similar to the EU-REACH for existing chemical substances over 1 ton per year.

Once pre-registration was completed by end-June 2019, the potential registrant was given a grace period of registration.

The second grace period deadline is December 31, 2024, in order to enable manufacturer or importer to better respond to the current deadline. In this webinar download, our expert fully explains the requirement for joint registration and share our registration experience.
