ISO 26262 Functional Safety Examination

Intertek Functional Safety Certification Program (IFSCP) offers you the best opportunity to certify your personal expertise and functional safety competence according to ISO 26262. IFSCP is a personnel certification program that demonstrates a person's competence in the IEC 26262 functional safety standard. You will receive proof that you meet all the prerequisites and expertise requirements to provide the necessary responsibility and skills at the right time in the security lifecycle.

Do you already have experience in Functional Safety projects and want to get your competencies certified by a leading service and training provider?

You can directly apply for one of our three levels of examination to get certified as:

• Functional Safety Engineer (IFSCP Level 1)
• Functional Safety Professional (IFSCP Level 2)
• Functional Safety Expert (IFSCP Level 3)

Examination can be booked independently from the Intertek Functional Safety Certification Programme courses, however we recommend to run all three modules before attending the exam.

Exam prices:

• IFSCP Level 1: € 650.00
• IFSCP Level 2: € 950.00
• IFSCP Level 3: € 1250.00

If you don't pass the examination you can repeat it with the following associated costs:

• first repetition of the exam: 250.00 €
• from the second repetition, exam price will be the usual one as listed above

Examination requirements

Functional Safety Engineer - No specific requirements needed. We strongly suggest following IFCP courses before applying for the examination.

Functional Safety Professional - Proven track record of training in Functional Safety and at least 6 years of experience in functional safety coupled with evidence of participation in at least two Functional Safety projects.

Functional Safety Expert- Proven track record of training in Functional Safety and at least 10 years of experience in Functional Safety coupled with evidence of having led at least two functional safety projects.
