Course Description

The ISO 26262 Functional Safety Module 1 course provides an in-depth introduction to the principles and practical implementation of Functional Safety processes into your own processes. This module covers Functional Safety management (FSM) and focuses on the key tasks, methods and conceptual aspects that are efficient for the Functional Safety development of electrical and electronic devices for a vehicle in relation to Part 1-12.
Participants gain insight into the key aspects and activities of the relevant standard parts and understanding approaches to developing a safety life cycle required and tailored to their role as OEM, Tier 1, Tier 2, software vendor, hardware supplier, tool vendor etc.

The aim of the course is to provide understanding required Functional safety processes, methodologies and safety activities including specification, testing, verification, and validation ensuring a robust and compliant approach to Functional Safety.

Intertek Functional Safety Certification Program (IFSCP)

In addition to our training program, an examination opportunity to certify your personal expertise and Functional Safety competence according to ISO 26262 Functional Safety standard for road vehicles. You will receive proof that you meet all the prerequisites
(see graphic IFSCP below) and expertise requirements to provide the necessary responsibility and skills. You will be best prepared for the Intertek Functional Safety Certification Program (IFSCP) if you complete all four ISO 26262 training modules 1-4.
